Overview

PENCK is a private investment and advisory firm that was established in 2018 to exclusively manage the global assets of the Kontogiannis and Sun family.

We engage in a broad range of activities, including: investment, advisory, management, AI and data services, venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, restructurings, risk management and philanthropy.

Our investments are concentrated in several primary sectors and industries, including: fintech, clean energy, green mining, plant-based tech, real estate development, life sciences, biotechnology, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum computing, machine learning, robotics, space exploration, artificial intelligence and data centers.

We invest for the long term, we routinely take an active advisory or operational role and a seat on the board of directors.

Risk Management

A thorough understanding of the risks for each investment that we make is central to our process. We strive only to make investments that meet our strict risk/reward criteria. This disciplined investment approach is a fundamental part of our family office’s method of managing risk.

We consider investment risk principally in terms of the potential for permanent loss of invested capital.
